Registered Manager Children's Residential Home

Location: South West London
Salary: £60,000 £70,000 per annum
Contract: Full-Time | Permanent
Start Date: Immediate

We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Manager to lead an established children's residential home in South West London.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a provider committed to delivering high-quality care and positive outcomes for children and young people. The organisation is seeking a proven leader who can bring strong operational expertise, maintain high standards of care, and continue driving the service forward.

The successful candidate will be an experienced Registered Manager with a strong understanding of Ofsted regulations, safeguarding, and children's residential care. This is a key appointment for the provider and they are keen to move quickly for the right individual.

The Role

As Registered Manager, you will have full responsibility for the day-to-day leadership and management of the home, ensuring compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and safeguarding requirements.

You will lead and develop the staff team, oversee care planning, manage relationships with external stakeholders, and ensure children receive the highest possible standard of care and support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the children's home
  • Ensure full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Quality Standards
  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and child-centred environment
  • Lead, motivate, and develop the staff team
  • Maintain excellent safeguarding practices and risk management processes
  • Oversee care planning, placement matching, and outcomes for children
  • Build positive relationships with local authorities and partner agencies
  • Manage audits, quality assurance processes, and regulatory requirements
  • Prepare for and lead Ofsted inspections
  • Drive continuous improvement and service development
About You
  • Previous experience as a Registered Manager within a children's residential home
  • Strong knowledge of Children's Homes Regulations and Quality Standards
  • Experience leading and developing residential care teams
  • Proven ability to maintain compliance and achieve positive outcomes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Full UK Driving Licence preferred
  • Passionate about improving the lives of children and young people
